Enjoy Amritsar, the "Pool of Nectar", is named after the sacred pool in the Golden Temple. Visits to the Harmandir Gurdwara (Golden Temple), Wagah Border and experience the India/Pakistan border closing ceremony.

Day 5 - 8: Jaipur

Jaipur

Jaipur is the essential stop in Rajasthan. The city is know as the pink city as it was paited red to welcome England's Prince Alfred in 1853. Here we will see many local palaces, gardens and monuments. This is also where we will partaking in the Holi Festival. Holi marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring and is has it's beginnings with Lord Krishna.

Day 9: Agra

Agra

Agra is renowned the world over for the fabulous Taj Mahal. While in Agra we will visit the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal.

Day 10: Orcha

Orcha

Orcha is a medieval city which seems to have frozen in time, its palaces and temples still retain their original grandeur. Here we will visit the Jehangir Mahal and shrines and memorials that peppers the city.

Day 11: Khajuraho

Khajuraho

Khajuraho oozes with passion, eroticism, dance and music and other finesses of creative arts depicted in sculpture and images of the temples. At one point 85 temples were built in 'Nagara' style, though only 22 have survived. We visit the many palaces and temples around the city.

Day 12: Varanasi

Varanasi

Varanasi is situated on the bank of the Ganges river and is one the holiest and oldest cities in the world. It is considered to be the epicenter of Hindiusm and India. We will partake in an Aarti (prayer) ceremony along the Ganges including a boat ride to see the Ghats offer prayers and flow diyas (oil lamps) on the river.

Day 13: Back to New Delhi for Flight Home

Varanasi to New Delhi

In the afternoon, you will catch a flight back to New Delhi where you will have day use of a hotel room until your return trip home.
